Our Community
We run lots of different events – from Easter Egg Hunts to teddy bear picnics. Open to all, these events are a great way to get outdoors and have fun with the whole family.
Alongside these, we also hold regular fundraising events with other charities and open evenings for local businesses keen to get involved and support Nell Bank.
Nell Bank specialises in providing fully accessible events. Every year we hold Family Fun Days and residential breaks for children with additional needs. These help take the pressure off families, offering an exciting outdoors escape for everyone. Our annual Bradford Disability Play Day often sees up to 400 children and families coming down and spending the day together.
We’re always happy to welcome local community groups on-site.
We host the Whafedale Schools Cross Country Relays, the Yorkshire Orienteering squad’s residential training weekend, and the Ilkley Cycling Club’s White Rose Classic Cyclosportive to name just a few.
If you’re curious what else Nell Bank has to offer, our trustee ambassadors are happy to hold presentation evenings about what we do, the benefits of outdoors learning, and how you can get involved. If you’d like to know more, please get in touch!
Everyone needs a change of scenery now and then. Nell Bank is the ideal location for an office away day – high quality facilities in an inspirational setting.
Whether it’s for a meeting, a team-building day, or voluntary work, we’ve a range of options for your team to choose from. We can even offer a practical disability awareness and inclusivity-training programme to help support workplace diversity.
Ready for a break from the office? Our staff are happy to help!
Our growing family of volunteers are always looking for people who can lend us a hand, whether that’s baking something for a fundraising event, getting stuck in with site maintenance, or offering some professional business support. We appreciate every ounce of your spare time and support.
If you’re interested in pitching in, we’d love to hear from you!
